We invite you to join our church family as we memorize these Scriptural promises and commands.
The purpose of this discipline is primarily to help us remember what God has said, and where to find it in the Bible. Please take the time to read the entire verse and more importantly, to obey it! The Holy Spirit will help us.
Promise
I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Command
Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.
Promise
The Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, in order that you may live.
Command
Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life.
Promise
The Lord is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.
Command
Listen to counsel and accept discipline, that you may be wise the rest of your days.
Promise
When I consider Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers… what is man, that Thou dost take thought of him? And the son of man, that Thou dost care for him?
Command
For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep quiet, until her righteousness goes forth like brightness, and her salvation like a torch that is burning.
Promise
Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord delivers him out of them all.
Command
Let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me…” declares the Lord.
Promise
The steps of a man are established by the Lord; and He delights in his way.
Command
Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.
Promise
He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me; and to him who orders his way aright I shall show the salvation of God.
Command
Go and learn what this means, “I desire compassion, and not sacrifice,” for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
Promise
Cast your burden upon the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
Command
First clean the inside of the cup and of the dish, so that the outside of it may become clean also.
Promise
The crooked man is an abomination to the Lord; but He is intimate with the upright.
Command
Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man shall give to you.
Promise
Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.
Command
Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Promise
The Lord God has given Me the tongue of disciples, that I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens me morning by morning, He awakens my ear to listen as a disciple.
Command
I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
Promise
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.
Command
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
Promise
“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord of hosts.
Command
Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men.
Promise
I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
Command
Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Promise
I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies.
Command
Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary.
Promise
We who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.
Command
Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
Promise
He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him.
Command
Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.
Promise
He saved us… according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior.
Command
So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Promise
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever.
Command
Encourage one another, and build up one another, just as you also are doing.
Promise
You are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Command
Consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you may not grow weary and lose heart.
Promise
You have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and abiding word of God.
Command
Like newborn babes, long for the pure milk of the word, that by it you may grow in respect to salvation.
Promise
Behold, I lay in Zion a choice stone, a precious corner stone, and he who believes in Him shall not be disappointed.
Command
Honor all men; love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king.
Promise
Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, in order that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit.
Command
Sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, but with gentleness and respect.
Promise
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
Command
Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.
Promise
This is the promise which He Himself made to us: eternal life.
Command
The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person.
Promise
We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
Command
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.
